Cell

  • Membrane covered structure that contains all of the materials necessary for life. All living things are made of cells.

Cell membrane

  • A thin, semi-permeable layer that controls what goes in and out of the cell.

cell wall

  • Only in plant cells, give them shape.

chlorplasts

  • An organelle found in plant cells in which photosynthesis occurs.

Cytoplasm

  • The jelly like inner that suspends the organelles.

Nucleus

  • The largest organelle in the cell and is known as the brain.
  • Contains DNA material.

Organelle

  • A specialized part of the cell that performs a specific function to live and reproduce.

Vacuole

  • Water storage.
