PRESENTATION OUTLINE

A is for Attacks
The book gives a few examples of how the Socs attack or jump the Greasers. A couple of them include when Johnny got beat up, as well as when Ponyboy did.

B is for Backup
Throughout the second chapter it mentions how the greasers always have each other's backs and are there when they need them. Whether it's girls or fights, etc.

C is for Careful
With the Socs always looking for opportunities to beat up the Greasers, it forces to Greasers to always be careful with what they do and where they go.

D is for Destined
Where you are born and from whom determines what you are in this book. The less fortunate people in this book are destined to be Greasers because it was what they were born into. The same goes for Socs because they were born into rich families.

E is for Educated
Even though some Greasers may be good at school they will most likely not be able to college to get more education. This is because their families don't have money like the Socs do.

F is for Frightened
Johnny got beat up nearly to death in the past. Because of this he is always frightened and cautious of the things happening around him. Also, the gang treats him like the pet of the group so they don't alarm him.

G is for Gifted
Ponyboy is the gifted one of the Greasers. He is gifted in an educational way. This is because he is very smart and is in excel classes where many Socs are.

H is for Heavenly
Cherry and Ponyboy meet and right away Ponyboy thinks Cherry is beautiful and heavenly.
