PRESENTATION OUTLINE
I chose Australia because of all the interesting animals and places it has. Two of the places I always wanted to visit is Sydney because of the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney tower eye.
Australia's weather is nice and sunny most of the time. Regular temperatures are between 20 and 30 degrees C. So things I will pack are 6 shorts,10 thin socks, a hat, sunglasses,1 swimming shorts, 2 sneakers, an umbrella,1 sunscreen,10 underwear,10 t-shirts,1 sweater, pajamas,1 toothbrush, 1 deodorant, 4 jeans and much more stuff.
I will get there on Air Canada. I will be leaving Winnipeg on Monday June 15 at 8:15 AM and arriving at my first stop at Montreal Airport at 11:19 AM. The total flight time from Winnipeg to Montreal is 3 hours and 2 minutes. I will have to wait an hour and a half to get on my next flight at 12:49 PM. Once I get on my second flight the next stop will be at Doha international Airport in Qatar. From Montreal to Doha the total flight time is 13 hours and 10 minutes. After waiting two hours I will board another airplane at 1:59 AM and head to Australia. From Doha to Australia the flight time will be 15 hours and 25 minutes. The total flight duration will be 51 hours and 45 minutes. I will be arriving Australia on Wednesday at 11:42 AM. The ticket flight costs $1,425.
I will rent a car to get around. The car is going to be a Nissan 35Oz. I will be renting it for 10 days. The total cost will be $ 225.90 plus gas money.
I will be staying at the Park Hyatt Sydney Hotel. It is basically a hotel on water with a beautiful view of the harbor. And is by the Sydney Harbor bridge. There is also an European restaurant. With a living room dinning room, and bar.
My room is going to have a king bed, flat screen TV, mini living room, harbor view, and personal bathroom. The whole room in total is 480 square feet. The price is going to be $8,820 for 10 nights.
My first planed activity is the Bridge Climb. People climb the Sydney Harbor bridge and go over 300 feet above sea level. The whole activity is 3 and a half hours long. There are 1,300 steps to climb! Only 14 people go up per group. The journey to the top includes starting on the road then going on the catwalks. After that you climbing 4 ladders to reach the start of the upper arch. Once your up there you get a view of the scenery and a photo taken.
My second planned activity is the Blue Mountains all day trip. During the ride to the mountains we will stop at a clifftop viewpoint to gaze at Jamison Valley. A rain forest filled ravine that is surrounded by sandstone cliffs. After that we will go to Scenic World. Gliding between clifftops on scenic walkways, before heading to Echo Point to get a view of the Towering Three Sisters. Next, we're going to eat a chef prepared lunch at a historic hotel. Then, we're visiting award-winning Feather-dale Park. where we can see koalas, emus, crocodiles, kangaroos, and many other animals. Next, we're taking a ferry ride to Sydney along the Parramatta River to the Circular Quay were the trip ends. The tour costs $212.86 per adult.
In case your wondering the Towering Three Sisters is an Australian legend. It says that 3 sisters fell in love with 3 men. But they couldn't marry each other because they were from different tribes. So the 3 men tried to seize the sisters but failed. This caused a war between the tribes. One of the elders turned the sisters into stone but then died on the battle field. So the sisters stayed as stone forever.
After the first 2 activities I will take it easy by going to the Wet'n'Wild Sydney. It is a water park that in total has 42 slides. For the beginning of the day I will chill out in a rented cabana that has 2 plastic chairs clothes hanger and a beach chair to lay on.
After chilling out I will go to the Sky coaster. It is 76 m drop, what a thrill! It costs $40 dollars for a single person but 30 dollars for a triple rider. So why not go for 3 riders. First they set you up by putting on a suit with hooks. They hook you up to the bungee cord. And with the person beside you so you hit into them in the air.
Then I will go to the Surf Club. It is a restaurant in the water park where I will eat lunch. Some of the hot foods are Pizza, Chicken tender, Fish and chips, and Burgers.
Then for the rest of the day I will go on the water slides. And head back to the hotel.
My fourth activity is going to the Sydney Opera House. And watch a musical theatre called Thrones! The Parody. And the price is $45.
Another play I'm going to watch is the Bangarra. It an indigenous dance of Australia. That is inspired by 65,000 years of culture. In total both plays will cost $110 and duration time will over 3 hours.
After both plays I will get a tour of the Sydney Opera House that costs $81.50. That comes with lunch or dinner and tasting plate experience prepared by award winning chefs. Some of the things that the guide is going to be talking about is the history of the Sydney Opera House, architecture, and stories. Total duration time is 2 hours.
Then at night time I'm going to watch vivid Sydney. With its' beautiful lights.
My fifth activity is going to the Sydney Tower Eye. It costs $65.55 per person. It includes Fast track observation experience, 4D cinema show, and a dining experience. The tower is over 820 feet tall!
Some of the places I will eat at are the Dinning room in the hotel, Italian village, Pancakes on rocks, Caminetto, and Sake.
Italian village is a Italian restaurant. It is known for its' great cocktails and delicious desserts.
Pancakes On Rocks is a pancake restaurant. It has a long-running diner chain known for sweet and savory pancakes. Also they have Pizza, Ribs, and brekkie.
Caminetto is an Italian restaurant that has great pasta, scaloppine, and sometimes live muisic
Sake is a Japanese restaurant that has inventive sushi, sashimi, and clever cocktails.
My budget for this trip is $16,000. Because the hotel costs $9,000. I will approximately spend $2,500 on food and around $3,500 in car rental, activities, and flight ticket.
The currency I need in Australia is the Australian dollar. It comes in plastic notes like the Canadian dollar.
Some laws I need to be aware of are. It is illegal to leave your car keys inside an unattended vehicle. It is illegal to dress up as Robin and Batman. If a urinal is not readily available, it is illegal to urinate in it. It is illegal to speed, race, and play loud music from the car stereo. Any personal medication must be declared on your arrival. The emergency contact is 000. To drive in Australia you must hold a valid international driving permit accompanied by the drivers licence issued in the country you live. Australians drive on the left side of 2 way roads. Always swim between red and yellow flags on beaches. You can never swim alone on beaches.
Another activity I'm going to do is go to the Sydney Sea Life aquarium. It has over 700 species and 12,000 animals! It has some tunnels were you can walk under the water and see the animals above and beside you. Tickets cost $47.50 per person.
