• Impatience causes an obsession over the amount of time something takes.
• When people race through life, they reduce their amount of happiness and enjoyment.

WHY ARE PEOPLE IMPATIENT?

• Some people may worry that if they spend too long on anything, they are wasting their time.
• They want to do as much as they can during their life.
• Others may just dislike waiting for anything.
• It can be boring to wait for too long.

WHY BE PATIENT?

• Patience allows us to live our lives to the fullest, without worrying how much time it takes.
• We can take time to enjoy even seemingly boring moments.
• Patience often allows us to have better experiences.
• For example, if you refuse to wait in line for a ride at an amusement park, you may have had a better experience by waiting.

PROMOTING PATIENCE IN TODAY'S SOCIETY

• Patience is often easier with others.
• We can spend time with the impatient, and help them learn to enjoy each moment.
• We can offer ways to pass time in situations of waiting, to prevent boredom.
