WHAT CAUSES GOUT?

  • Gout is a kind of arthritis. It can cause an attack of sudden burning pain, stiffness, and swelling in a joint, usually a big toe. Gout is caused by too much uric acid in the blood. You can also get gout attacks in your ankle, or knees, or other joints.

HOW LONG IT TAKES FOR TOU TO SHOW SIGNS OF SYMPTOMS OF GOUT?

  • Warmth, pain, swelling, and extreme tenderness in a joint, usually a big toe joint. This symptom is called podagra. It may get worse quickly and last for hours.

SYMPTOMS

  • Very red or purplish skin around the affected joint. The joint may opera to be infected.
  • Peeling and itching of the skin around the affected joint as the gout gets better.

HOW IS GOUT TRANSMITTED?

  • Sharp uric acid crystals deposits in joints, often in the big toe.
  • Deposit of uric acid that looks like lumps under the skin.

IF IT IS AN INFECTIOUS DISEASE, HOW IS IT TRANMITTED?

  • Gout is not a infectious diseases because gout comes from to much uric acid in the blood.

WHO IS THE CARRIER AND WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF PASSING THE TRAIT TO OFFSPRING?

  • It is not hereditary, you only get gout from to much uric acid.

DOES GOUT CAUSE A RAPID DECLINE IN HEALTH OR IS IT A SLOW PROGRESSION OVER MANY YEARS?

  • Gout causes a sudden and rapid pain through your big toe.

HOW HAS THIS DISEASE PROGRESSED OR CHANGED DURING THE COURSE OF TIME?

  • Gout is found in higher rates in people with high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, or heart failure. A high risk of death from heart conditions.

WHO IS SUSCEPTIBLE AND HOW DO THEY ACQUIRE GOUT?

  • It doesn't come from environment factors and it comes from uric acid such as steak, beer, and hot dogs.

HAS THE DEATH RATE REMAINED THE SAME DECREASED DUE TO MODERN MEDICINE?

  • Compared to individuals without gout, we found that individuals with gout died earlier and experienced a higher and risk of death.

HAS THE PATHOGEN MUTATED CAUSING VARYING STRAINS THAT ARE DIFFICULT TO TREAT?

  • No because cancer has nothing to do with gout.

IS THE DISEASE NOW ERADICATED OR ARE THERE"WAVES" OF RE-OCCURANCES?

  • People still get it and if more uric acid gets in your body it can come back and can be the same process over again.

IS GOUT CURABLE?

  • Yes, but it can also come back into the same joint that it was in before.

HOW CAN ACQUIRING THIS DISEASE BE PREVENTED (IF POSSIBLE)?

  • It can by not putting to much uric acid in your body.

  • In fact, gout is one of the most painful forms of arthritis. Here, Everakes sets the record straight with regard to gout, a condition that affects 6.1 million adults in America.
  • Many envision only older men when it comes to gout. But while it's true that nine out of 10 people with gout are in indeed men older than 40, women get gout as well.
  • To diagnose gout, doctors remove fluid from the joints and view it under a microscope to see if it contains uric acid crystals. The levels of uric acid can also be evaluated in urine and blood.
