PRESENTATION OUTLINE
When creating a media product, a lot of technology is used to construct the whole thing. Our title sequence is no exception. We used various different pieces of tech to the best of our abilities make our final sequence.
Professional Video Cameras
Throughout filming our sequence we used a professional video camera, provided by our college. With this, we filmed all our shots. This was the most crucial piece of technology we needed and was very useful to us. However there were some complications when using this camera. We found it hard to get it to focus when we were taking our close-up shots as it was mainly on auto-focus. However we overcame this problem by using manual focus, allowing us to freely focus our image on an aspect of our subject.
This is one of the shots we got using manual focus.
Our group used Adobe Premiere Pro to edit
our entire sequence. There was a long process of importing, cutting and ordering clips as well as adding effects and transitions to them to shows our clear narrative. We also used this software to edit some of the sound that we used. Using this software was very useful and easy to adapt to
and collectively we all got better at using this piece of technology.
In the process of making our sequence we also used Adobe After Effects. We used this software to add our titles to the sequence as well as create our intro, which was our distribution company ident. This piece of technology served us well and was very useful as we had a lot of control over the things we wanted to do with our titles; like the duration, effects and positioning of them on screen.
Garage Band was another piece of technology that we used for our sequence. This software specifically helped us layer the music we wanted to make as well as provide us with sounds that could help build up tension in our piece. This was another piece of useful technology that we were able to use.
