PRESENTATION OUTLINE
1.
Lessons Learnt
Through prelim tasks 1, 2, 3 and 5
2.
Prelim Task 1
Editing techniques learnt and practiced, such as cutting to the beat and matching lip syncs to the music.
Performance techniques learnt and practiced, such as performing lip syncs and maintaining eye contact with the camera.
Also, highly important to thoroughly learn the lyrics to the song
3.
Prelim Task 2
Sessions planned most days after school with professional dancers, Natasha and Mikey and performance director, Jasmine.
Looked to improve general performance skills alongside dance skills and routines.
1-on-1 sessions with Natasha to learn finger tutting routines, I had never finger tutted or danced before.
4.
Prelim Task 3
Music video was made to look more professional through good costume and hair and make-up.
Highly important to properly characterise and dress each character in the video.
Consequently I spent far more time thinking about both, than I had done for previous productions of mine.
5.
Prelim Task 5
I learnt a lot about matching a performed lip sync to the music, using waveforms and visual ques.
Further developed my ability to grade footage, in a way that enhances the footage, but doesn't disturb skin tones.
Learnt multiple keyboard shortcuts, to improve the speed at which I edit.
