Peer Review: Introductions

• Does the first sentence draw you in? Does it present the topic of the paper right away? Or is it too broad/general?
• Does the author explain the problem? Do you understand the need for further investigation of this topic?
• Is the research question clearly stated?
• Write out the thesis. Is it clear and compelling?
