Exposition: The Exposition of Diary of a Wimpy Kid is when Grag Heffley is at school on the first day of school and he has to pick out a seat in class. Also he is telling about how he had to sit by people he did not like before.

Rising Action: In the rising action of Diary of a Wimpy Kid he is telling us about how he meet Rowley his friend. Also he is talking about how he tried running for school goverment and how his dad did it .Then he talks about his brother Rodrick and how he has a band called "Loded Diper" and how is Mom let him start it because she thought they would start a family band. Also it was Hollowen ang Grag was talking about how he dressed up in the past In Grags gym class they started a wrestling unit and Grag complained about how they had to wear closes from what Grag thought was the 1800s. Also Grag and some kids at his school where in a play called the Wizard of oz and the play was well in till they started to throw apples at Patty Farrell. Also a Christmas time and he talked about all the stuff Manny gets and how much stuff he gets. Also he talks about family and what they give him and about the stuff Rowley gives him for his Christmas gift. They started there wrestling unit at school and how he had to wrestle people his size and he had to wrestle someone named Fragaly.Also he talks about how he tries to get tougher and he tries to do exercises to get stronger but it does not work.

Climax: He was using milk jogs to work out to get stronger.

Falling Action: It the falling action They where having a contest at his school to see who could come up with the best joke for the school paper and Grag won but Mr. Ira changed his comic a lot and nowbuddy was reading his comic and he looked in the paper and he found out that they had changed it a lot!! Then he went out for the Patrols for the elementary school kids to help bring them home. But a few days later Rowley got called down to the office because someone thought Rowley was chasing kids with a worm and a stick and he got in big trouble when someone on the street who him called the principal. But then they found out that Grag did it and he got called down and they found out Grag did it and he got in big trouble.

Resolution: He finally was at the end of the school year and he got the year book and guess who is class clown Rowley Jefferson. Also him and Rowley are now friends.

The theme of "Diary of a Wimpy kid" written by Jeff Kinney, is friendship. In the beginning of the story is when he was some problems with bully's in his school. Then he talks about how on Halloween Grags dad throws water at kids when they walk past his house and this time he got hit by a wave of water. For example some textual evidence is " Big wave of water coming their way" (Kinney,74). Then he is in this play called "The Wizard of Oz" and he is a tree and he thought he would get to throw apples at Patty Farrell. Well and a few others thrown apples at her and a lance Brock and the play was shut down.( Kinney.113).In the end part of the story Rowley and Greg where trying knock Rowley off it and he got a Brocken hand"Well, he broke his hand,and now he has to wear a cast".(Kinney,141). In the end Greg learned to have more friendship for his friend Rowley.
