Qin was located in the yellow river valley

Or also known as Xianyang. The capital was Shaanxi.

They believed in legalism.

Legalism focused on the bad in people, and a strong gov't.

Shih Huang Ti was the first and only emperor.

The Great Wall of china was built in this dynasty.

To enforce legalism he burned books from schools of thought.

Emperor wanted immortality, so medicine was created.

The medicine contained mercury and killed him.

He expanded the empires border into Korea and Vietnam.

He buried about 500 scholars alive for talking about him.

He had the Terra Cotta Army built in his tomb

The army was built for protection in the afterlife.
