Practise your statement on family friends. Does it makes sense out of context?

Edit and polish it until you have something that feels really easy and natural to say.

Regularly revisit your statement, and update it as your skills, experience and aspirations change.

#6 Take steps back from the career ending to the present to work out your route there.

#7 Spend time watching and learning those you admire, and then emulating what they are doing.

#8 Understand your value. It isn’t based on who you work for or your position at a job. It’s based on what you’re able to bring to the table.
