PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Religion:
the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods

I chose this image because it shows a place of worship, without confining it to just Christianity, or Judaism because lots of religions worship.

Adherent:
someone who supports a particular party, person, or set of ideas

I chose this image because it shows people standing for God and supporting the idea together.

Belief:
an acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists.

I chose this image because the cross is a big symbol of belief to many religions and I think that it was a good summary of belief.

Monotheism:
the doctrine or belief that there is only one God.

This is a statue that I chose because I know that some religions worship statues like this one.

Polytheism:
the belief in or worship of more than one god.

I chose this picture because it shows multiple people wearing fancy clothes and with lots of food so I took that to mean it represents people of power or were worshiped.

Atheism:
disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods.

I chose this image because Atheists was defined as against the idea or religions or gods.

Agnosticism:
a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God or of anything beyond material phenomena; a person who claims neither faith nor disbelief in God.

Opposite of Atheism, I took agnosticism to be neutral so I chose an image that I thought showed that.

Theism:
belief in the existence of a god or gods, especially belief in one god as creator of the universe, intervening in it and sustaining a personal relation to his creatures.

This book says the experience of God, and Theism has belief in a very personal experience so since the image showed a book about one, I thought it represented it well.
