STATISTICS

  • 75 percent of college students report having gambled during the past year
  • Over 80 percent of American adults gamble on a yearly basis
  • As many as 750,000 young people, ages 14 to 21 has a gambling addiction
  • PTSD symptoms affect anywhere from 12.5 to 29 percent of problem gamblers
  • Three to five gamblers out of every hundred struggles with a gambling problem

  • Compulsive gamblers may have mental health issues
  • Treatment work 50%-60% of the time
  • People with serious mental disorders have a higher risk for compulsive gambling
  • High school and college students have a higher rate of compulsive gambling than the general adult population.
