A ravens member of the Corus family. (A Corus is a family of black birds)
There is twelve types of ravens. There of them are extinct.
Ravens eat eggs, small birds, Carrion, bread, human garbage, dead animal and scorpions.
Ravens live in cities, grasslands, tundra, sage brush, sea coast, high deserts, forests and Ice floes. Ravens make there nests in hight places like buildings, cliffs and trees.
Ravens are draws to gunshot sounds.
Ravens are smart and dangerous. In a pair, one distracting the birds, while the other get the eggs.
Ravens can roll and somersaults in the air.
Crows are bigger than ravens. Crows give out a cawing sound, while ravens give out a croaking sound.
The raven is Yukon, Canada's official bird. The raven is also The Kingdom of Bhutan's national bird. (Bhutan is in South Asia.)
The word "raven" came from Germanic languages.
In Sweden, they are known as ghosts of murdered people
Many cultures believed that raven use to be white.
The Greek God Apollo had ravens by his side in Greek mythology.
"Orev" or "Oreb" means "raven" in Hebrew.
In Germanic culture, ravens were eyes and ears for Odin.
In Irish Mythology, raven symbolize warcraft.
In Northern Asia, Kutkh is the god of ravens.
Haida myth believed ravens are trickster.
