What is 2D Animation

• Requires drawing frame by frame movements
• Requires a lot of patience
• Requires drawing skills

What is 3D Animation

• Requires knowledge of how to create 3D models using programs such as Maya
• Maya is the most commonly used program for 3D animation
• Doesn't require drawing skills but it would be helpful

How Can One Become an Animator?

• Practice drawing as often as you can
• Get familiar with programs such as Maya
• Getting a degree in animation is not always required but would help a lot
• Create an animation reel in your portfolio
• Take some art classes outside of your school
