Noun
A noun is a person, place, or thing. The chicken in the background is a thing, as is the KFC container it's sitting in. "The chicken is in the bucket."

Verbs
There are two types of verbs. An action verb, and a b-verb.
Action Verb: used to describe an action
B-Verb: a linking verb such as "is"

Examples
Action Verb: He HIT, and got a double.
B-Verb: He IS on second base.

Adjectives
Describes a person, place, or thing.
Ex: His shirt was a bright orange, like some bright red and orange were rubbed together.

Adverbs
An adverb describes a verb or adjective
Ex: He ran happily and quickly.

Example:
He decided on model rocketry OR Lego Robots

Preposition
A word that shows position or direction and introduces a prepositional phrase.
Ex: The man came from the EAST.

Interjections
A word set off by a coma or exclamation point that shows strong emotion.
Ex: GEEZ! That's not fair!

Pronouns
A word that is used in place of a noun.
Ex: HE jumped into the net

Article
Articles are special adjectives used to indicate a specific noun
Ex: THE book was great!
