THE COLLEGE I VISITED WAS EAST TEXAS BAPTIST UNIVERSITY

  • THE MASCOT OF THE SCHOOL IS THE TIGER, WHICH I THINK IS REALLY COOL .
  • The school colors are Blue, Gold, and White.
  • I visited this school because they have a good sports program and one of the majors is Kinestheology.

Admissions- Fall semester deadline is May 1st and, Spring sign up is August 1st

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

  • A average class size is about 15
  • The freshman retention rate is 95%
  • I chose this school because they have a good Kinestheology program and a good religious program.
  • Credits can be transferred through different schools through Internet.
  • You have to get a18 on the ACT and 860 on the SAT.
  • A years cost is 30,666 and a semester is half the cost.

CREDITS

  • Credits can be earned from different schools but, if you don't have the required amount, you have to take online video classes
  • ETBU requires 22 hours of church services to graduate that year. If you don't get the required amount, then you have to take online credits by watching recorded videos.

ROOMING

  • There's only two rules for housing, you have to stay on the same gendered sides and no holes or screws in the walls.
  • A new Freshman building was build over the summer
  • Levels of the dorms are decided by personality and skills. The college has a specific dorm for the sports players that's built by the sports feilds

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

  • There are four computer labs in the school, all of them hold 30 people
  • The Career center offers jobs at the college, internships, job interview help, and missionary credits.
  • The school equipment seems really cool, also they have free printing!
  • Everyone uses their own email accounts and the school has free wifi
  • I love the buildings there because they're built to be old looking.

MY TOUR OF THE SCHOOL

  • When I visited the college, everyone was already on summer break and only some faculty were there. When we visited the student center, no one was there but the room looked so cool! There were games everywhere.
  • I didn't see the old dorms but, we saw the new freshman dorm. It had two stories and each hallway had 15 rooms and each room held three rooms for three students.

EXPERIENCE OF THE SCHOOL

  • For me, I think this school is perfect. It's small, the students connect with the teachers well, and they have amazing standards for scholarships.
  • What I love most about the school is that the teachers work hard with you if you need help or need tutoring.
  • What I don't like about the school is that it's hot there, they don't have a art program, and I'm further away from my family then I expected.
  • I do see myself at this collage because I see myself at a small college that has teachers who help you on assignments. And additionally, they have a good tennis program.
