GENERAL INFORMATION ON PANDA'S

• The giant panda, also known as panda bear or simply panda, is a bear native to south central China. It is easily recognized by the large, distinctive black patches around its eyes, over the ears, and across its round body.
• Panda's are endangered animals
• The giant panda lives in a few mountain ranges in central China, mainly in Sichuan province, but also in neighbouring provinces, namely Shaanxi and Gansu

WHERE PANDA'S LIVE

• Giant pandas live in large bamboo forests on humid and high mountain slopes (4,000 to 10,000 feet) above sea level. Giant pandas were once widespread across central, southern, and eastern China, and China’s neighboring countries of Myanmar and northern Vietnam. However, their habitat has shrunk to a few patches in western central China, due to China’s farming and logging practices.

EATING HABITATS

• Although Pandas are carnivores 99% of there diet is made up of bamboo trees,Pandas eat upto 20-40 pounds of bamboo a day

REPRODUCTION

• The Giant Pandas' mating season is only 2-4 days during March to May. If missed, they will wait till the next year. One female panda will usually breed only one baby.

WHAT PANDAS MEAN TO CHINA

• Pandas are known as the "treasure of China" although in risk of becoming extinct China use there lucky of having Pandas in there country as a big tourist attraction by having tours of areas of China mountains where Pandas are living
