PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Technology Expectations

“Techspectations”

These Chromebooks are instruments of learning. They do not absolve you of the responsibility of thinking; computers can't think, anyhow. They are here to inspire deeper, more creative, and more collaborative thinking.

Take only the Chromebook assigned to you. If the Chromebook is not plugged in when you get it from the cart, report that to Mr. Coyle immediately.

Inspect the casing, screen, and keyboard. Report any scratches, stains, cracks, or other damage (NO MATTER HOW SMALL) immediately to Mr. Coyle. Anything reported after the beginning of the class will be your responsibility.

Keep all four corners of the Chromebook on your desk; not on a book or a folder.

Return your Chromebook to the appropriate slot, with the charging port up and facing the front.

Use standard English rules whenever you are working on an assignment for school - even if it’s just a discussion board.
Do not use txt speech LOL ;-)

Whatever you put online stays there forever. Be mindful of that fact.

A curse word today could cost you a job tomorrow.

Do not alter anyone else’s material without their permission.
Never ever ever ever ever be on someone else's account.

Use common sense. If you don't think you should be doing something on a school computer...don't do it.
