St. Ignatius of Loyola

ST IGNATIUS OF LOYOLA

  • He founded the Jesuits in 1544.
  • He created the book of spiritual exercises.
  • He was canonized on March 12 1622.

St Francis Xavier

ST FRANCIS XAVIER

  • He was the first Christian missionary to travel to Japan.
  • He was a co-founder of the Society of Jesus.
  • He led an extensive mission into Asia.

POPE FRANCIS

  • First ever Jesuit pope.
  • He is the 266th and current pope of the Roman Catholic Church.
  • His papacy began on the 13th of March 2013.

St Edmund Campion

ST EDMUND CAMPION

  • He is a martyr.
  • He is one of the forty martyrs of England and Wales.
  • His feast day is on December first.

St Aloysius Gonzaga

ST ALOYSIUS GONZAGA

  • He devoted his life to caring for the victims of a plague.
  • He is the patron saint of young students and victims of AIDS/plagues.
  • His feast day is June 21st.

St Ignatius found the Society, Frances spread the word to Asia, Pope Francis is the first Jesuit pope, Edmund was very brave, and Gonzaga was very selfless.
In conclusion, all Jesuits did the best that they could for the greater glory of God.
