WHY?

  • About 1 in every 68 children in the U.S have autism
  • This is an important thing to for families to look into because there is no "cure", it is so common, and the children may need extra attention and care.

ANOTHER REASON..

  • An individual with autism and their family spend nearly $60,000 a year for treatments, equipment, and schools.

FACTS

  • There is more autistic males then females
  • There is no cause for autism
  • There is no cure, but there is treatment.
  • Many autistic children have a normal or above average level of intelligence ability

DECISIONS...

  • The parent is the on that has to are the decision on whether to take their child to the doctor.
  • Take the child to the doctor for tests at the first signs for an early diagnosis. This makes it easier to overcome the difficulties of autism.
  • The family needs to decide what type of school to go to.
