CIRCULATORY SYSTEM

BY: TAYLOR DUNCAN

CIRCULATORY SYSTEM IS

THE SYSTEM THAT CIRCULATES BLOOD & LYMPH THROUGH THE BODY, CONSISTING OF THE HEAR, BLOOD VESSELS, BLOOD & THE LYMPHATIC VESSELS & GLANDS.

WHAT THE CIRCUALATORY SYSTEM DOES

It delivers nutrients & oxygen to all cells that are in the body. It consists of the heart & the blood vessels that run through the entire body. The arteries carry blood away from the heart. Blood in the veins carry it back to your heart.

SYSTEMS OF THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM

  • There 3 independent systems that work together.
  • 1 is the heart which is the Cardiovascular.
  • 2 Pulmonary in other words the lungs.
  • 3 Portal Vessels which are called the Systemic

THE PARTS

  • Arteries
  • Veins
  • Coronary
  • They are responsible for the flow of blood, nutrients, oxygen & other gases.

Purpose of the Circulatory System

It's purpose is to move blood and lymph. Transports nutrients & oxygen through the body. Removes waste products such as carbon dioxide. Necessary to regulate temperature & pH balance it also protects the body from diseases.

FUNCTIONS

  • There are 5 functions of the Circulatory System
  • 1. Transportation of hormones.
  • 2. Oxygen
  • 3. Nutrients
  • 4. Hormones
  • 5. Fighting infections that is achieved by transporting.
  • What each function is a vast network that are made of organs & vessels that is responsible for the blood, nutrients, & other gases flow in our bodies. Without the Circulatory System our bodies wouldn't be able to fight off diseases or maintain a stable internal environment.

Relationships with other systems.

It supplies oxygen & nutrients to our bodies by working with the Respiratory System.
It helps carry waste & carbon dioxide out of the body.
Hormones produced by the Endocrine System they are also transported through the blood in the Circulatory System.

That's the Circulatory System
