PRESENTATION OUTLINE

NEWTON'S THIRD LAW

BY: ALEXANDRA PACE // PERIOD 1

THE BASICS

  • For every action force you exert on something,
  • That something exerts a reaction force back.
  • The forces are equal, but in opposite directions.

EXAMPLES

  • This instance is for everything.
  • If you push / pull something or someone,
  • That person or thing is exerting a force.
  • Even sitting on a couch is an example!

FORCES

ARE IN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS BUT THE SAME SIZE

SUMMARY

  • When there is a action force,
  • There always is a reaction force.
  • The forces are equal in size,
  • But opposite in direction.
