X-RAYS

BY: NIKKI AND YASMEEN

Created?
When electrons strike a metal target, the electrons are liberated from the heated filament and accelerated by a high voltage toward the metal target.

The wavelength of my EMR ranges from 0.01 to 10 nanometers. It's about the size of a water molecule.

Technology
A type of technology that uses X-Ray detectors is a photographic film. It uses it by taking a quick snapshot onto a film. This film shows doctors if you have any broken bones in your body.

Harmful?
Yes, X-rays can be harmful due to the radiation exposure to the body during the X-ray process.

Wavelength associated? 10nm downward
Frequency range? 30
petahertz- 30 extrahertz

Fun Fact!!!
The first xray for medical purposes was carried out on a young man with a broken wrist, his name was Eddie McCarthy.
