On Line one, more than 30% of the Ethical Reasoning scorers are not calibrated on more than 50% the work samples

Benchmark Level
Student states either their core beliefs or articulates the origins of the core beliefs but not both.

Glossary
Core beliefs can reflect one's environment, religion, culture or training.

Line one is completely about the core beliefs of the person authoring the work sample

An example would be:
The overall root of my ethical belief is that all humans are created equal and everyone has the right to live life as they see fit as long as they don’t cause harm to one another.

An example would be:
The first influence of what would become my ethical belief is the charismatic Christian environment that I was born into.

A work sample would have to be discussing the author's personal beliefs explicitly in order to any score for Line One higher than a zero
