  • Born on April 4, 1928
  • St.Louis, Missouri

CHILDHOOD:

  • When Angelou was young, her parent's split up & she lived with her father's mother with her brother Bailey.
  • At the age of seven, Angelou experienced first hand racial prejudices.
  • During a visit with her mother, Angelou's mother's boyfriend raped her. In 1944, 16 year Angelou gave both to a son

EDUCATION:

  • Angelou held position at the University of Ghana,
  • And went to the California labor school.

LITERACY CONTRIBUTIONS:

  • When she wrote the phenomenal women it's basically about not letting men I power you and she been through the fact that she let men I power her.
