HAZEL, ISAAC, AND AUSGUSTUS

HAZEL GRACE LANCASTER

• Her "normal life" consists of being depressed and thinking about death all the time.
• Her call to adventure is meeting Augustus Waters.
• Her refusal to the call was when she tried to avoid talking to Augustus because she was unsure about him.
• She doesn't exactly accept Augustus per say, but is almost forced into hanging out with him for the first time.

Hazel passed the threshold of her journey after she got really attached to Augustus, and they find out that his cancer has come back.

Some of the trials she faced were Peter Van Houten, Augustus's failing mental and physical state, and her own failing mental and physical state.

The end of her journey/crossing back over was when Augustus finally died. Her Master of Both Worlds was the letter he left her, which helped her get through his passing and keep holding on until she passes too.
