TYPES OF FERMENTATION

DIFFERENCES THEY ALL HAVE

  • Fermentation is the process of making sugar molecules into simpler substances.
  • Photosynthesis is the making of sugar molecules by putting together carbon dioxide and water.
  • Cellular respiration is the process by which the chemical energy of "food" molecules is released
  • and partially captured in the form of ATP.

SIMILARITIES THEY ALL HAVE

  • Cellular respiration is the complete cycle and usage of a glucose molecule using oxygen.
  • Fermentation occurs in organisms like yeast that can't pass glycolysis but can still respirate without oxygen
  • (such as yeast in sealed wine vats) otherwise known as an anaerobic environment (cellular respiration, like in
  • human cells, takes place in an aerobic, or oxygenated environment).
  • Photosynthesis is a process that converts carbon dioxide into organic compounds in presence of sunlight.

CYCLE BETWEEN PHOTOSYNTHESIS AND CELLULAR RESPARATION

  • Cloroplast takes in h2o and CO2 and light. It produces O2 and glucose.
  • Then the mitochondria used that o2 and glucose and uses it and comes out with CO2
  • and H2O.
  • Then the cloroplast only needs to obtain energy and it goes around in a circle.
