How is this news related to SS?
The weather in our country affects many aspects of Filipinos' lives. For example, during a strong typhoon many people need to be evacuated from their homes. In turn, the local government needs to make sure these people are relocated in a safe place and provide them with adequate food and shelter.

Another example is that when there is a strong typhoon millions of pesos worth of agriculture and structures are destroyed which has a direct effect on our economy.

How did the news increase or improve your awareness about politics/ government, environment or education?

It made me aware that even though Metro Manila didn't experience much rain, the provinces directly in the path of the storm experienced a lot of devastation which in turn has some effects on the rest of the country.
