WHO IS MY EXPLOER?
Samuel de Champlain.
He was born around 1567 in a small seaport town in France.
He died on Christmas Day, 1635 in Quebec.
He was a skilled navigator in the Army.

He was a cartographer (made maps).
The first person to map Canada.
He founded the first colony in new France and named it Quebec.
He originally set sail from France in search for gold and spices and the Northwest Passage to Aisa.

He crossed the Atlantic Ocean from France to Canada.
