• It causes a small body, short limbs and other skeletal abnormalities that cause infants to be born prematurely, stillborn, or die prematurely.

• The cell membrane is what keeps bad things from entering the cell. How bad would it be if it just let anyone in?
• Cystic fibrosis is an inherited life threatening disorder that cannot be cured. It is caused when there is a defect in a protein that helps move water and salt across the membrane, causing cells to not secrete enough water which causes the patient to have thick mucus. This can cause digestive problems, wheezing, and lack of weight gain.
