Research Menu: Database tab
- Links to free databases that will work on iPad at school and home
- If on computer at home, click on the mel.org link and search through the list of databases. May have to put in library card # (212739 plus student ID number)
Tips for using databases
- Look for Search box and use keywords carefully
- Accessibility functions: Font size, audio, translate, highlight & notes, reading levels
- Permalink by clicking on Bookmark button

Use NoodleTools to
- Create bibliographies
- Take notes
- Work with partners
- Share work with the teacher
- Create a to-do list
- Keep track of electronic sources

The NoodleTools Companion app allows students to scan books ONLY and add them to their project. (See instructions on how to set up.)
Use NoodleTools through Safari. Kids can login using their Office365 account from the link on MS Media or by searching for NoodleTools in Safari.

How do we get database articles into NoodleTools?
How to export citations from Databases
- Login to NoodleTools and create a project.
- Open another tab and search for an article. Click the citation button when ready.
- Choose NoodleTools and press Export.
- Choose the Project to export it to.
- It should show up in the Source list. AND there is a link back to the article so the student can go back!!!
- Start taking notes!
