P.D. Topics

Q1. In addition to our book study (Transforming our Image, Building our Brand by Valerie J. Gross) what Professional Development topics would you like to see in our 2014-2015 meetings? Please select all that apply.

Project-based learning 23 (65.71%)
Grade Level planning 23 (65.71%)
App Focus (1 or 2) 16 (45.71%)
Destiny Training 12 (34.29%)
iPad Training 11 (31.43%)

Comments:
"Elementary needs to have more frequent opportunities to share ideas, lessons, etc. Posting things online isn't the same as face to face sharing. A group dynamic is an essential part of the creative process."
"Maybe even Area Planning (sharing) rather than grade level planning - That way we could plan horizontally as well as vertically."
"Training on what we can or cannot do when it comes to posting student work/pictures. Would love for an ITSe to help us make our libraries more global."
"The grade level time is huge and should be included in every meeting!! Even if it's just for a little bit, I get so many great ideas and plans from hearing everyone else's lessons and ideas."

Meeting Format

Q2. Over the last two years, the LITE meetings have followed a format of a General Session, a short break and then Grade Level Break-Out Sessions. Would you like to see the format change?

Meeting format change to allow more grade level planning at each meeting (54.29%) 19

Meeting format the same (37.14%) 13

Meeting format change to allow more vertical planning between grade level feeder schools (14.29%) 5

Comments:
"Grant planning."
"I would like to meet all day at least once or twice - Meetings in the morning, lunch, planning in the afternoon."
"not sure - it is too hard to grade level plan away from our libraries."

Thank you!
