CLIMATE

  • The climate here is continetal.
  • This means that there are very hot and humid summers.
  • There are also freezing winters.
  • The warm summers attract at least one million tourists a year.

  • The island lies in the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
  • There are low cliffs that lie along the eastern and southern coasts.
  • Most of the land on this island is gently rolling plains.
  • Also half of it if covered with forests.

POPULATION

  • It is the smallest providence but has the biggest population.
  • There is about 20 people per square mile.

NATURAL RECORCES

  • There natural recorces include fish and coal.
  • There are many fish because water surrounds the Island.

  • The people on this island call it the island.
  • The first people to live on this island were Native Americans.
  • A lot of people are decendants of these indians.

  • The capital of this island is Charlottetown.
  • It was named after Queen Charlotte of Britan.
