WHO IS MY EXPLORER?
Born in 1643.
Wanted to be a priest at first and then became an adventurer.
His sailing crew killed him in Texas.
Lived in France.
Died when he was 44.

He explored many new areas of the new world.
He built many forts and colonies along the Mississippi river and ruled them.

He wanted to claim land.

I think he was a very nice man because he never killed anyone on his explorations.
I think he was brave because finding the Mississippi River would be dangerous.
He was a thinker because he tried to talk with his crew about new routes to the Gulf of Mexico before they killed him.
