• civil war in Jerusalem
• Vespasian allows this to continue to weaken their forces

• 4 emperors went through Rome during this time
• Nero, Galba, Otho, Vitellius

• Titus and his men prepare for battle
• Titus erected a wall around Jerusalem
• this enclosed it's people
• created famine

• Romans burned the Temple of Herod and Temple of Solomon
