Features of houses in preston
Usually the houses in preston a single storey, they are mainly made out of brick and they are more modern. Some other features are, they either have a big front yard or back yard and they have a nature strip out front.

Coober Pedy
There are houses in Coober Pedy and there are also things called Dugouts.
What are Dugouts?
The old Coober Pedy dugouts were obviously the holes that had been dugout in the look for opal. Back then opal mining was back breaking manual labour, so the first Coober Pedy homes were no bigger than what they needed to be.

People now live in dugouts because Coober Pedy is a desert and it's so hot, so because it's cooler underground it's easier for them to live there.

Queensland Architecture
Queens-lander architecture is a modern term for the indigenous type of architecture of Queensland, Australia. It is also found in the northern parts of the alongside state of New South Wales and shares many traits with architecture in other states of Australia but is plain and unique. The form of the typical Queenslander style residence distinguishes Brisbane's suburbs from other capital cities.

The type started in the 1840s and is still made today, displaying an transformation of local style. The term is especially applied to residential construction, although some commercial and other types of construction are known as Queens-lander.
