Early Years Specialist not underestimate ,parents, staff very important

Specific skill set , parents,staff students ,curriculum,facilities

Building Teams trust respect common goal
eg staff follow ISP staff keep in contact and ask advice

Experienced in different settings, cultures and school types...profit,non-profit,franchise ...each of these has a unique way of operating and while you keep what is best for teh children always at teh heart of any decision, you need to be flexible and sensitive to the needs of the type of school.

EG ISP became profitable very quickly paid off loan , rent, but without compromising on quality or vision . Did find ways to increase numbers, creative

eg
Varied life a Kindergarten head... British Consul Xmas drinks informally talking about school to expatriate families.....New Pre-Nursery Parent presentations ...toileting,sleeping and food,.......Prospective parents relocating from Canada...child development

Managing rapid growth both in terms of staff students and parents. Building adaptations to cope with influx of numbers

ISP

Lessons Learned

  • Start Up Schools
  • Established Schools
A good school

My philosophy .....every child is important so ... Every parent is important.... shell story

Reputation, parent satisfaction is everything in EY as we do not have exam results to publish. Measuring success is more difficult and will take into account the whole child.

Share , involve, promote
Examples of growth DCS and ISP

Secure understanding of why you are doing something share with all stakeholders especially new parents

Dulwich rotating heads answers...franchise..school did not have a similar agreed upon vision.... Did not affect the Kindergarten as we did follow the vision management stayed together longer as following similar goal based on the children. much so we wrote it on the wall and lived it.

ISP Ipads link to education but also showed the directing we were going AIS link enhanced curriculum from specialists

Vision

Early Years Center of Excellence
I have had no indication of package yet but am prepared to move my family here because I believe in the vision of what AIS and Cognita is trying to do.... Good school mission for my children from what I have picked up during my visit and research

AIS my vision
Not to be too arrogant but I want to be responsible ( as part of a team ) for building something unique and special.

Career move for me not just numbers of children as that is scale...not just buildings or even curriculum.... But to be part of creating something that will enhance EY education in the group , region and wider. Great opportunity because of

Cognitas commitment....resources also number of schools
Facilities
Unique curriculum IB..Australian..Reggio Emilia
