PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Can we live in the moon?

Team: Cristina #21 Katia C. #4 Andrea Ch. #6

The last time we put a human on the moon was 1972, over four decades ago. Since then we’ve learned a lot about it. Our probes and robots have revealed it’s a harsh, barren space boulder with a nightmarish environment. But, you know what else we’ve learned?

In the last 40 years we’ve also learned that while Earth and the Moon are very different in many ways, there are a lot of similarities, too—and these similarities can help us explore how to someday colonize our celestial cohort.

The geological and biological development of our planet has allowed the emergence of an extroardinary event: the life, which in its evolution reached hight forms of organization

  • Heinz-Hermann Koelle, a german rocket engineer of the Army Ballistic Missile Agency led the project horizon study. The first landing would be carried out by two "soldier-astronauts" in 1965 and more construction workers would soon follow
  • 245 tons of cargo would be transported to the outpost by 1966
