SLAVERY

• Slavery was something the South needed to grow and have help on their farm.

STATES RIGHTS

• States rights were something the southern states lacked and did not like that.

SECTIONALISM

• The South wanted slavery for their Benefit but the North didn't need it so they were dis agreeing.

TARIFF

• Was a tax on the Southern states for the imported goods.

DIFFERENT OPINIONS ABOUT SLAVERY

• This is one cause of the civil war because the north did not want it.

THE SOUTH LEAVING THE UNION

• The north did not want to have the south split away from them so they fought them to stay.

TEXAS LEAVING

• This was the last straw that the north was going to take from the south because they needed Texas.

BATTLE OF GALVESTON

• The battle of Galveston was to prevent trade by water with the South.

BATTLE OF SABINE PASS

• This battle was to stop trade with the confederate states by land.

BATTLE OF PALMITO RANCH

• This was the last battle of the Civil war because the Texas had not got word the war was over
