How to Explain Food Court Franchising to Your Boss

Topics of Discussion:

  • Go slow
  • Be sensitive
  • Let him down easy
  • Invite him to learn more

#1 Go slow

Your boss may be so out of touch with franchise lingo that he may need you to explain what a franchise is one step at a time. Explain the benefits of a food court franchise: the profits, the freedom, the security, and the sense of pride that comes from managing your own business.

#2 Be sensitive

As you explain all of the benefits and rewards of owning a food court franchise, you may notice your boss starting to turn a bright shade of envy green. Be courteous and don’t rub in the wonderful adventures that await you too much.

Once your boss begins to understand what a franchise is and the benefits of owning one, let him know you’ll be leaving to start one of your own! He’ll likely be sad to see you go, but reassure him that he won’t need to worry about you.
