FUN FACTS

  • The Spruce Goose has 7 names
  • Built entirely out of wood
  • Only took flight once
  • Largest Plane ever constructed
  • They thought that having beach balls in the wings would help it fly better

  • It was supposed to carry cargo and supplies
  • Never used in World War 2 because they never finished
  • They built it for translantic flight

  • Wood was helpful because it made it lighter
  • Made out of wood because of war restrictions
