  • Geoffrey Chaucer's exact location and date of birth are uncertain. It was believed that he was born sometime around 1343 in London.
  • His Father, John Chaucer, Married his Mother, Agnes le Chaucer in 1349 and inherited considerable amount of properties in London from her Unlce, Hamo de Copton. Chaucer married Philippa (de) Roet around 1366.
  • The couple was blessed with four children; Thomas Chaucer, Elizabeth Chaucer, Agnes and Lewis Chaucer.
