3.a complete thought-Bobby yelled
4. Subject-Verb agreement: subjects agree with their verbs in number

B. The friends are together
5.Each, none, neither, either, anyone, anybody, someone: are all singulars.
A. Each of the boys has arrived.
B.None of them whines about homework
C. Neither of the cars is running
6. Apostrophes: show possession
A.If one owner: 's
B.If more than one owner: s'
C.men's, women's, children's, and people's are always 's
7. Contractions
A.Always say both words: it's, you've, you're, they're, they've, we've, he's, they're, etc.
B.Impact: contractions are less formal, less empathetic, and less urgent
