PRESENTATION OUTLINE

THE TOP THREE REASONS ROME FELL

BY PARKER NOELL 1ST PERIOD

REASON 3

  • The plague was very crucial
  • It reduced the amount of farmers and slave labor
  • Which then led to a reduced amount of soldiers
  • Which made Rome more susceptible
  • I ranked this 3rd because it weakened the empire and made it less powerful

REASON 2

  • Overexpansion
  • Overexpansion led to the weakening of the empire
  • It made the empire harder to rule effectively
  • Had to spend more money to pay soldiers which led to disrepair
  • I ranked this second because it made the empire weaker in many spots

REASON 1

  • External Invasions(i chose this for number one because this physically brought the empire down
  • Germanic tribes invaded a weakened Rome
  • Persians(Sassanid) invaded the east
  • Both sides invaded by the Huns
  • The plague greatly weakened the economy
