  • Movie Making Book-Add parts of movie making process to graphic organizer

Lesson 2-Preproduction

  • Discuss Documentaries
  • Use Movie Maker Book to illustrate details of this movie genre

Lesson 3-Preproduction

  • Choosing Movie Topics
  • Brainstorming, voting, forming groups

Lesson 4-Preproduction

  • Movie Themes
  • Show clips to discuss
  • Groups will decide on movie theme

Lesson 5-Preproduction

  • Storyboarding
  • Model using example movie clip
  • Groups create storyboards

Lesson 6-Preproduction

  • Groups create Task List

Helpful Hints

  • Hold iPad in landscape mode-ALWAYS!
  • Use photos of typed text to add "voices" to your film

Helpful Hints for iMovie on iPad

  • When movie/trailer project is finished, click share to Theater.
  • To share your finalized movie from Theater, click share.
  • Save as video will save your movie to the Photos on the iPad
  • From there, you can log in to YouTube, Office 365, or any other place to upload your movie.
  • Delete finished movies from your Photos after sharing/saving to another place, so the iPad storage doesn't fill up

Sharing Movies on Office 365

  • Log in to O365
  • Scroll to the right, click the Video Button
  • Click Upload- at the top left
  • Click the drop down to select your school
  • Click Select Videos to Upload
  • Click Photo Roll, Select video you want
  • Type video name in the box
  • No saving! You're done.
