Library Media Curriculum is derived from:

• The National School Library Standards (published by the American Association of School Librarians).
• DESE's Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
• The Massachusetts School Library Information Literacy Standards (published by the Massachusetts School Library Association).

Comprehensive research studies conducted across the U.S. for the past 30 years prove that strong school library programs have a direct positive impact on academic achievement.
