MAIN PURPOSES OF THE CEREBRUM

  • Helps with learning, memory, and reasoning

The Cerebrum
The cerebrum is folded tissue on the outside of the brain.

Gray Matter
Gray matter is composed of cell bodies of neurons that helps process information that is given to you.

White Matter
White matter is located below the gray matter and contains axons that are the roots of the neuron Cells.

Corpus Callosum
The corpus callosum is white matter containing axons that connect the two halves of the brain and let them communicate with each other.

The corpus callosum is located in the center of your brain and serves as a neural bridge that connects the left and right sides of your brain.
