• Most of the wooden roofs collapsed and so did The famous spire
• French president Emmanuel Macron pledged to rebuild the cathedral
• Famous artifacts like the crown of thorns survived

WHERE AND WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?

• It happened April 15, 7 pm pairs time
• Although the fire is not still happening, the community is raising money to help rebuild Notre-Dame. Also an investigation has started to see what really caused the fire

• It is one of the most popular destinations in the world to visit
• It will coats over 8,121,750,000 dollars to repair
• Over 500 Fire fighters gathered to help put the fire out
• Not only on people donating but they formed a human chain to get artifacts still inside

WHY DID I CHOOSE TO WRITE ABOUT THIS?

• I choose to write about this because I have actually been to Notre-Dame
• I also know that some of the worlds most famous artifacts are in there
• It caught my eye about how this 856 year old Cathedral caught on fire

• I choose the historical lens b because Notre-Dame has been around for over 856 years. The fire destroyed many historic artifacts. This is one of the most historical events in the past 5 years. This fire will most likely be remembered long after it happened
