My family heritage

My last name originates from Austria but I don´t only have Austrian heritage. From my fathers side of family, my great grandparents could speak Slovak, Czech, Croatian, Austrian german and even a little bit of Hungarian and Russian. Therefore I am a mix of genes that gathered at the border of Hungary, Austria and Slovakia which is where this side of family lived.
My mother´s side of the family originates from Slovakia nearly three generations to the past. But I also have distant relatives in Czech republic and supposedly there are some German genes at this side as well.

Values my family appreciates and in which I was raised include honesty, kindness, inteligence and modesty.

My favorite tradition that honors my ancestors is lighting up candles every year on their graves around the time of haloween.

Most of the stories of days that were, are passed by word when I talk to my parents and gradparents. I enjoy listening to them because it makes me know my family better and also I learn a lot about past. So you could say that I know a lot about the history of my family at least three generations back.

If I ever had to pass the traditions of my family down to the future generations I would show them exactly what I was shown as little and maybe even add little peaces that I would come up with.
